Post 3: UFO Abductions

This is definitely not the first time I have looked into or seen alien abduction stores and I am not surprised with the stories that were told in the presentation. Personally, I do believe that there is something out there because the universe is big and anything could exist out there. However, I don’t think aliens would waste their time with Earth to be frank. If people think these aliens are so advanced, they wouldn’t want to be on our planet.

Either way, I do not believe the stories given for a couple of reasons; the first being that not many people who encountered these aliens were awake during the process and their memories basically have to be fished out of their mind through hypnosis and as the PowerPoint said, hypnosis doesn’t necessarily bring out true memories, but confidence in the false ones. My second reason is that they all are similar in the way they are told. It all begins with one person saying what happened, and then others stepping up to agree and say that something similar happened to them. I’m a skeptical person by nature, so I don’t trust this at all. I also would like to point out, like the PowerPoint did, that the number of abducted people sky rocketed after movies about aliens were released. Why is this the case?

I think the idea behind aliens is an interesting one, but as I stated earlier, I don’t think they’re waiting around on Earth’s cornfields or country road to snatch some average people. If I were them, I sure wouldn’t!
