The End of the World
When I was younger, I had a fascination with the end of the world. I always thought that the year 2012 was going to be the end. I remember dragging my parents to see the movie because I truly was so interested, yet scared at the same time. This lecture was very interesting to me to see the people who truly believe that it's going to come and are willing to spend thousands of dollars to prepare. The one guy with the underground emergency supply system for him and his family was rather interesting to me. A few days ago, NASA reported an asteroid just barely missed the earth. This is one of the ways that people are saying that the world could come to an end. I have attached an article below of this happening as for those who are interested (yet scared) like I am about this, it is still a good read.

  1. I agree with what you said, it is also crazy to me how someone can spend so much money in preparation for the end of the world. You would think that someone would learn from the many failed predictions, but they haven't. I also did a post on the end of the world and found that asteroids were the cause of many end of the world predictions. These predictions are purposely hyped for people to get exposure. The chances of an asteroid hitting us are minimal. Nice post:)

  2. I always had my doubts about the end of the world in 2012. When the day came that the world was supposed to end, I actually got scared just wondering if it could possibly be true. As time has gone on, I am no longer scared of the world ending. I think that people should be more concerned with sustaining the Earth instead of making false predictions as to when it is all going to come to an end.
