Pseudoscience and Magic
Pseudoscience is the perfect topic when discussing sleight of hand. Many magicians are never allowed to reveal their tricks because it ruins the magic of it. The fact that people can trick other people’s brains by using simple mind games is an incredible and exciting thing. David Blaine is one of the world’s most renown magicians and is vey good at doing this and even has his own show. I made a post about this and researched it a little to understand how our brains misjudge reality from fake even when we know that it’s a magician fooling us.

It's crazy how well people are able to trick people into thinking what they want them to think and brainwash them into thinking they're actually able to do supernatural things. I dont like magicians for reasons like this.
ReplyDeleteIts extremely fascinating how many of their tricks are not widely known and they continue to fool people today. Every time I have watch a magician I always try to figure out what they are trying to accomplish and how they plan to pull off their trick and it never works, almost as if it is "magic".
