The Evil Eye!!!!

The evil eye is a look that is superstitiously believed to be able to cause injury or bad luck which is directed toward a certain person. People also say that the reason why people would direct bad harm or injury on someone else is either because they dislike the person or just out of envy. The "Evil Eye" is also known as "Mal de ojo." Many different cultures and nationalities believe in the idea that if you wear or display the evil eye pendent that you can block all the negative energy that was directed towards you.

Greece, Turkey, Rome, Judaism, India, Islam, Brazil, and Latin America are just a few names of the countries and cultures that practice this belief. They believe that the pendant can honestly protect you from any ill will. Another name for the pendent is "Nazar" The nazar is a charm that is used to ward off the evil eye, as seen in the picture. The charm comes in many different forms. It can be a picture, necklace, bracelet, a amulet, or in some cases a stand.

They say some of the symptoms of someone who has been affected by someones bad will are vomiting, diarrhea, and constant crying. In every culture the "evil eye" is referred to be a different name, and some culture tie a red ribbon around the pendant just for more protection. Me myself being of Turkish decent, I have a lot of jewelry that bares the evil eye, and we have amulets all around my house and also at work. I believe that the pendant does keep away people bad vibes, or energy, also I think it just very beautiful pendant. A lot of celebrities today are wearing the evil eye. It becoming famous everywhere.
