Old Nessie

The Loch Ness monster resides in the Loch Ness one of the biggest bodies of water in Britain.  There is more water in the Lock Ness than all the other lakes in Scotland and Wales put together.  With such a llarge body of water it is not a surprise that many would believe a big creature would live in the lake.  So the Question is, is it possable for a monster to live in a Lake such as this?  Observations:  there have been multiple sightings of the monster.  Most believed that the Loch Ness monster first appeared in the 1930s but some of the first recorded sightings of the creature date back to 565 by an Irish priest.  Many describe the monster similar to a  plesiosaur dinosaur with a long neck, small head and long sharp tteeth. The most famous picture of the Loch Ness moster was taken by Rober Kenneth Wilson (the picture shown above). Concepts: To those who believe in the monster have developed theories on how such a creature can appear in the Loch Ness.  The Loch Ness is a tectonic lake, meaning that the lake was a result of tectonic movement.  Most who believe in Nessie, believe that when the Loch Ness was cut off from the rest of the Ocean the plesiosaur dinosaur, unable to go back to the ocean, stayed in the Loch Ness.  Even though the above picture had been proven to be a hoax the thought of a monster still residing in the Loch Ness is still up to Interpretation.  There are many who still believe that a monster resides at the bottom of Loch Ness, despite it being imposible for a single plesiosaur to live in the Loch Ness for thousands of years.  For any species to survive in an area you must have not only some type of food source but also a large enough population to survive.  With all the witnesses claiming to have seen the monster first hand, it is sometimes hard for some people to not believe.  After all, we are still discovering new species every day so... the only way to know for certain is to see it with your own eyes.

  3. When I was younger all I wanted to do was hunt for the Loch Ness, that was till my teacher shot that idea down by saying that it is scientifically impossible to have a creature like that in a lake. I still think its cool and would love to visit just for my own experience.
