Chakras

A Chakra refers to the seven centers of energy within every person. The seven chakras are associated with the seven endocrine glands within the body: crown, brow, throat, heart, solar plexus, navel and sacrum. Each chakra has a color, purpose, physical location and dysfunction and also stores information. For an example, the throat chakra is associated with sky blue and it is the will center. Its purpose is to teach to take responsibility for one's needs. It is believed that if someone lies or even represses their feelings by not speaking out it can cause a sore throat or laryngitis due to this chakra.
You can look up the other chakras here and discover what they mean and how they can affect a person's body.

This is a video from the Nickelodeon show Avatar: The Last Airbender. It explains the seven chakras and how to open them :)
